Sometimes it’s the limitations you face that give you the most freedom.
Brett Schreiber’s mechanical drafting skills are needed in all sorts of spaces – from tight quarters with low ceilings to areas with impeding structures that require an extra bit of creativity to accommodate them. It’s those challenges that make the work of designing systems that exceed expectations the most satisfying.
A natural curiosity of the composition and operation of … well, everything,… led Brett down the path of mechanical engineering. Taking a birds-eye view of why buildings are constructed the way they are and what goes on inside of them is what inspires Brett. It engages his eye for efficient and effective solutions and feeds his desire to give it his all at every opportunity.
Born in Pennsylvania, Brett has been a Wisconsinite since age 12, raised in the Fox Valley area and immersed in all that makes Wisconsin a special place to live. A lover of the outdoors, he spends his free time hiking, hunting, fishing and being on the water. He plays baseball and basketball, and his hobby is a 3-D printer that he creates and builds all sorts of items with.
Brett looks forward to continuing to learn and grow at Somerville and make a positive impact on their work. It was an introduction to a welcoming and kind team of passionate, skilled people that made Somerville feel like the best fit for Brett’s future. No longer pulling toys apart as a kid to see how they worked, he’s now channeling his natural curiosity into understanding clients’ needs and partnering with them to create solutions to achieve their visions.
