Collin Arndt
Architect
Collin Arndt is the bridge. He translates design concepts into fully modeled buildings, creating the technical documents to make them a reality.
There’s a give and take throughout the design process which could last a couple of weeks to a couple of months, and Collin is that bridge between the possible and the actual throughout that process.
From extensive projects, such as the creation of the Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine & Orthopedics facility and additions to the CP center and Campbellsport School District, to smaller renovation projects throughout the area, Collin’s to-do list varies depending on where he’s needed.
That versatility also applies to the changing technology and the ability to meet a client’s goals. He appreciates being part of a team that works hard to engage and understand each client’s vision, then execute a plan that’s better than the client had imagined. That means each day, each deadline and each decision is different.
Originally from this community, Collin was thrilled to return after college. His focus is simple and has been a lifelong interest: impressive spaces that are comfortable for everyone to be in. His artistic nature and eye for design is an asset that aligns perfectly with Somerville’s mission.
Somerville also offers him the opportunity to explore rapidly changing technologies, considering software that may be more effective and efficient and add to his arsenal. His role gives him the freedom to be on site to determine how materials work together and use that knowledge to consciously improve on the work.
Somerville’s team works hard to understand each client’s vision and bring that model to fruition. From dream to reality, Collin is that bridge.
