Halle Laverdure brings it.

Often the only girl in her high school tech ed classes, Halle’s interest in floor plans and materials melded with her passion for interior design and style. While pursuing an interior architecture degree in college, her public speaking class led her to also major in communications. A medley of experiences included interior design positions and communications roles, with projects including redesigning classrooms, offices, and entire university departments. Her work in campus facilities design also included remodeling a church into a welcome center for prospective students.

All in all, that makes for a multifaceted, multitalented designer with a breadth of skills and experiences that position her well to meet clients’ design needs.

And those floor-to-ceiling design needs can run the gamut from selecting finishes to furniture, signage, branding, and creating a genuine feeling in the space. She ensures the design stays true to the client’s intent from beginning to end, listens and works with clients and her Somerville team to determine the best solutions for each space and attends to even the smallest of details because every single one matters.

Most importantly, she keeps an eye toward how the building looks, how it feels, and how it’s being used. Halle sees her role as ensuring the design meets the needs of those using it, pairing what’s aesthetically pleasing with what’s comfortable and functional in order to create a place that “makes people just want to be there.”

Halle spends her free time hiking, biking – both indoor and outdoor – traveling, reading, spending time with her friends and family, and playing board games. And, in true Halle fashion, so much more.
