For Joe Jerovetz, nothing is more gratifying than providing customers with designs that improve their businesses and help their teams become more efficient and satisfied with their work environments. The added bonus is the opportunity to see his own drawings come to life and to see clients experience and appreciate those structures. Knowing that the structures he helped create will be part of the community well beyond his lifetime is truly fulfilling.
Joe is a firm believer that no one knows a client’s business better than they do, and he sees his role as providing the design that allows clients to surpass their goals. Good design is understanding what the client wants and capturing those ideas in a building that functions as the client intended, providing a better experience for the customer and improving business performance. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Joe has had his share of opportunities to deliver on that promise for clients, and his work at Somerville allows him to flex those design muscles. As an architectural designer he creates presentation and working drawings, collaborating with colleagues to develop a final set of construction documents. Somerville’s reputation for design innovation and collaborative client relationships drew Joe to this role.
With a career in architectural design and an array of projects to show for it, from car dealerships and restaurants to office buildings, industrial manufacturing spaces and senior living facilities, Joe is adept at providing solutions, feedback and innovative ideas.
Joe’s free time is spent taking his dog for walks or enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends and cheering on Wisconsin sports teams in everything from baseball and basketball to college and pro football. He enjoys a few sports of his own, spending time bow hunting, fishing, boating and biking, making the most of every changing Wisconsin season.
