The new Oconto Falls Middle School is under construction and will be ready for the 2025-2026 school year. This project was made possible by the approval of a $37.63 million referendum in November 2022. The referendum not only funds the new middle school but also includes secure entrances and roof repairs for all district schools. Since the approval, planning and design have been actively progressing.

The new middle school, spanning 74,594 square feet, is being constructed on a 90+ acre parcel of land. It will accommodate 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, with future expansion plans that include a 5th grade wing. This new facility will provide significantly more space than the current building, thereby enhancing learning opportunities for students.

In addition to academic spaces, the school will feature a full competition gym with two cross courts and a multi-purpose room designed for wrestling, dance, and cheer. These facilities aim to support a wide range of extracurricular activities, promoting physical fitness and team spirit among students.
