GGBCF Office Remodel
Greater Green Bay Community Foundation
Our design team worked with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation to update their office space in the historic former Milwaukee Road Passenger Depot located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The building was built in 1898 and it took on many uses over the years, before being placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Somerville worked closely with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation team to revitalize the building and intentionally design it to fit their culture. In doing this, Somerville was able to help improve functionality, accessibility, safety, energy efficiency, modernization and long range durability throughout the space.
The final design included an exterior glass vestibule expansion and approximately 2,000 SF of interior remodeling. The space was designed with both new and timeless materials that accent the exposed masonry walls throughout the building, and help reinforce the specific branding strategies of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. The connection to the community was imperative throughout the design of this project. Keeping this in mind, Somerville helped create flexible gathering spaces that inspires collaboration and creativity, while also providing a welcoming space to build new relationships.
